Headaches & Migraines
Migraine is a complex neurological condition that often causes recurring headaches along with symptoms such as nausea, sensitivity to light or sound, and, in some cases, visual disturbances known as aura. Because many different types of headaches can produce similar symptoms, an accurate diagnosis is an important first step in determining the most appropriate treatment.
While chiropractic care is not a treatment for migraine itself, some people with migraine also have neck pain, joint dysfunction, muscle tension, or movement impairments that may contribute to the frequency or severity of their headaches. A thorough examination helps determine whether these musculoskeletal factors are present and whether conservative treatment may be appropriate. Depending on your findings, care may include chiropractic treatment, soft tissue therapy, Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), corrective exercises, and education to improve neck function and reduce mechanical stress. If your symptoms suggest another underlying cause or require additional evaluation, referral to the appropriate healthcare provider will be recommended.

Recurring headaches or head pain
Pain that may involve one or both sides of the head
Neck pain or stiffness accompanying headaches

Visual disturbances or aura before some migraines
Headaches aggravated by activity or prolonged postures
Tenderness or tightness in the neck, shoulders, or jaw
TREATMENT
Chiropractic treatment to improve joint mobility when appropriate
Soft tissue therapy to address muscle tension and movement restrictions
Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) when clinically indicated
Corrective exercises to improve posture, strength, and neck stability
Education on posture, ergonomics, activity modification, and self-management strategies
